W.E. Cox Claims Group are delighted to announce further expansion within their Freight Liability division, PCL Claims Limited, with the appointment of Sue Smith. Sue will join PCL Claims Limited on the 4th August, working primarily from Manchester, UK.

Sue joins PCL Claims Limited as Senior Claims Director and brings with her a wealth of experience. Having spent 24 years working in the marine insurance industry, ultimately in the position of Marine Claims Manager for one of the world’s leading Insurers. Sue is recognised as being a leading expert in the field of Marine Cargo & Freight Liability, handling all types of claims across all modes of transport. Over the years, having dealt with many varied, high profile and complex cases, she has built up an extensive knowledge of international transport and cargo, as well as a sound understanding of the many varied international legal conventions which apply. She has participated in Arbitrations, Mediations and court cases requiring litigation overseas and in the UK.

Sue’s knowledge also extends far beyond Cargo and Freight Liability claims, including Fine Art and Specie, Pleasure Craft & Yacht and Hull losses.

In addition to her claims expertise, Sue has extensive knowledge in subrogation, General Average and Salvage, marine policy consideration and technical auditing.

Sue has extensive knowledge of the UK and European Insurance market resulting in strong client relationships throughout.
