WEHR SINGAPORE

WEHR SINGAPORE Containership Engine FailureYou may be aware of an incident involving the vessel WEHR SINGAPORE, a Marshall Islands flag, 2005 built, 54,193gt fully cellular containership, on a voyage from Balboa, Panama to Busan, Korea, calling at various ports in China.

The vessel experienced engine problems and was reported to be adrift in the North Pacific on 25th November 2015. The crew was able to fix the problem and WEHR SINGAPORE was underway again within the same day. However, at least six containers were lost overboard and a number of others shifted as result of excessive sway of the vessel whilst she was disabled.

W.E. Cox Claims Group has already received instructions from insurers of certain cargo onboard in respect of recovery action.
