Incident: Sinking – Containers overboard

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel “VIETSUN INTEGRITY”, a 2003 built 6,704gt Fully Cellular Containership which sank in the Long Tau river in Vietnam October 18th.

It is understood that the Vessel was carrying 285 containers between Vietnamese Ports, albeit cargoes could have originated or been destined for global ports, when she sank and that efforts are ongoing to salvage the containers.
