The fully laden containership, TS TAIPEI, has gone aground in the East China Sea, just north of Taipei, Taiwan, whilst enroute from Keeling to Hong Kong – lat.25.30226: long.121.5776, due to perceived danger to the vessel.

The 21 crew have been air-lifted to safety by the Taiwan Rescue Centre helicopter. TS TAIPEI sails under the Taiwanese flag, was built in 2006 and is grt 15,487.
