We have learned of an incident involving a collision between the vessels POLLUX and DAL KAROO, while navigating the Stromkaje, Bremerhaven.
DAL KAROO is a Liberia flag, 2013 built, 71,112gt fully cellular containership, deployed by Maersk between Capetown and Rotterdam, having also called at London Gateway. She has a 6,881 TEU nominal capacity and is owned by International Maritime Enterprise. Following the collision, the vessel sailed from Bremerhaven, arriving at Rotterdam today, 1st November 2017.
POLLUX is an Antigua & Barbuda flag, 2009 built, 11,550gt fully cellular containership, deployed by Safmarine in Europe. At the time of the collision, the vessel had suffered machine failure en route from Vuosaari into Bremerhaven, where she remains as of today.
