New Casualty – Felicity Ace – Vehicle Carrier – Fire & Adrift 17 February 2022

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel FELICITY ACE, a Panama flag, 60,118gt, 2005 built, vehicle carrier, which suffered a fire on board in the Atlantic Ocean 16th February 2022.

The vessel was believed to be carrying up to 4,000 vehicles, including brand new Porsche and VW cars, when she caught fire whilst en-route from Germany to the USA.

The 22 crew have been safely rescued and the vessel is now drifting whilst vessel owners and professional Salvors try and save the vessel.

Casualty Update 1 – MADRID BRIDGE 14 January 2022

Further to our initial Casualty Advise in relation to the incident involving the Vessel MADRID BRIDGE, a Japanese flagged, 2018 built, 152,068gt fully cellular containership, we have now been advised that the 14,000teu vessel which serves the EC4 loop from Asia to the East Coast of the USA has lost at least 60 containers overboard with a further 80 containers confirmed as damaged on board.

NEW CASULALTY – MADRID BRIDGE – LOSS OF CONTAINERS 11 January 2022

We have learned of an incident involving the Vessel MADRID BRIDGE, a Japanese flagged, 2018 built, 152,068gt fully cellular containership.
The 14,000teu vessel which serves the EC4 loop from Asia to the East Coast of the USA reported being adrift between 2nd and 7th January 2022 with a loss of at least 30 containers overboard.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel ARCHIMIDIS, a Liberia flag, 89,776 gt, 2006 built, fully cellular containership, which reportedly was disabled and drifting southwest of Acapulco. The vessel is carrying cargoes loaded at various ports in China and Korea, bound for Cristóbal, Savannah, Norfolk and New York.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel BEAUMAIDEN, a Netherlands flag, 2,545gt, 2008 built, general cargo vessel, which ran aground off Ronne, Denmark, en route from Brunsbuttel to Tallinn, having previously called at ports in UK and Antwerp.
