We have learned of an incident involving the vessel MAERSK EUREKA, a Singapore flag, 142,121 gt, 2012 built fully cellular containership, which reportedly suffered a fuel pump breakdown whilst on a laden voyage from Yokohama to Long Beach, having previously called at Ningbo and Yangshan.

 We have learned of an incident involving a collision between the vessels AFINA I and KIVELI, off Neapolis, Greece, the two becoming interlocked. AFINA I is a Malta flag, 2010 built, 8,887gt bulk carrier, laden with 12,000MT Hot Briquetted Iron, on a voyage from Novorossiysk to Bilbao.

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel VEGA ALPHA, a Liberia flag, 8,971gt, 2005 built fully cellular containership, which suffered a main engine explosion whilst on a laden voyage from Laem Chabang to Kaohsiung, leaving the vessel disabled off the coast of South Vietnam.

CASUALTY UPDATE#1 – MAERSK EINDHOVEN 24 February 2021

Further to our initial notice of 18th February, it is reported that MAERSK EINDHOVEN is awaiting clearance from Japanese authorities for entry into APM Terminals Yokohama, Japan container terminal, currently expected to proceed on/about 25th February and likely to berth on/about 1st March.

CASUALTY UPDATE#1 – MAERSK ESSEN 22 January 2021
