NEW CASUALTY – YM EFFICIENCY

We have been advised of an incident involving the vessel “YM EFFICIENCY”, a 2009 built 42,741gt fully cellular containership.

It is understood that the “YM EFFICIENCY” suffered a collapse of stow en-route from China to Australia, as a result of which more than 80 containers were lost overboard and at least a further 30 containers seriously damaged on board.

The extent of the damage to containers and cargo is likely to be significant and W E Cox Claims Group are actively investigating the incident. If we can be of any assistance in arranging surveys, adjusting potential losses and undertaking recovery action please do not hesitate to contact us.
