NEW CASUALTY – STADT DRESDEN / IBRAHIM SIMSEK – collision

We have learned of an incident involving a collision between the vessels STADT DRESDEN and IBRAHIM SIMSEK, while proceeding in opposite directions in the Marmara Sea off Senkoy, Turkey.

STADT DRESDEN, IMO 9320049, is a Madeira flag, 2006 built, 27,971 gt fully cellular containership, en route from Rodaport Turkey to Evyap, Turkey.

IBRAHIM SIMSEK, IMO 7504653, is a Turkey flag, 1983 built, 4,045 gt general cargo ship, en route from Evyap to Aliaga, Turkey.

Both ships have sustained seemingly serious damages and were anchored near the collision site.
