NEW CASUALTY – ONE AQUILA

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel ONE AQUILA, a Panama flag, 2018 built, 145,647gt, fully cellular containership, which encountered severe weather conditions in the Pacific Ocean off the US coast, resulting in collapse of stow and reportedly in excess of one hundred containers being lost overboard.

ONE AQUILA operates in the Pacific South Loop 7 and was en route from Chinese Ports to Long Beach, but is now being diverted to the port of Tacoma for survey and rework of collapsed containers, due to arrive today (6th November), subject to approval from authorities.
