We have received the following new casualty report.

Whilst discharging cargo into lightering vessel CHAR SHAMAIL, there was a collision involving the above mentioned three vessels.

As a result of the collision, the lightering vessel CHAR SHAMAIL has sunk. Some of the crew from the vessel are still missing.

Both the bulk carriers, DENSA TIGER and NEW LEGACY, have also suffered damage.

The NEW LEGACY had loaded 32,500 MT of Scrap from Portland, USA, for discharge at Bangladesh.

The DENSA TIGER had loaded 41,825 MT of Slag from Mizushima, Japan, for discharge at Bangladesh.

The above incident may give rise to salvage, general average (GA) and recovery issues.

We can assist in the complete handling of this matter including pursuing recovery against the carrying and colliding vessels for any losses suffered.
