Incident:            Collapse of Stow

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel MSC HOUSTON V, a Portugal flag, 44,234gt, 2010 built, fully cellular containership, which suffered a collapse of stow whilst en-route from Piraeus, Greece to Liverpool, UK 21st March 2025.

The vessel, which has a capacity of 4,432teu and operates on the NWC service on behalf of MSC between Greece and Turkey and the UK, is understood to have suffered a collapse of stow resulting in the loss of at least 15 containers with further containers damaged. The Vessel has now berthed in Vigo, Spain where the extent of damages will be assessed.

The incident will lead to cargo damages and delays in delivery.
