Incident: Collision
We have learned of an incident involving the vessel GREEN PACIFIC, a Vietnam Flag, 2008 built fully cellular containership, which collided with the vessel HAVEN, a Panama Flag, 2008 built combined chemical an oil tanker.
It is understood that the vessels collided off Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and that the GREEN PACIFIC, with a capacity of 1,060teu, has suffered water ingress as well as losing containers. The extent of damage to HAVEN which is in a laden condition is not currently known.
The GREEN PACIFIC is managed by Gemadept and trades between China, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. The HAVEN had previously called at Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysian Ports.
