We have learned of an incident involving the vessel GALAXY LEADER a Bahamas flag, 48,710 gt, 2002 built, Vehicle Carrier, which was hi-jacked 19th November 2023.
The vessel with a capacity of 5,110 vehicles is operated by NYK Line and had previously called at Korfez, Turkey and was scheduled to sail to Pipavov, India. The vessel has reportedly been seized by Houthi rebels with previous incidents resulting in significant delays to cargo delivery.
