We have learned of a new incident involving the vessel MSC RACHELE a 2005 built 90,745gt Fully Cellular Container Ship, which grounded this morning near Put van Terneuzen.

The vessel was en route from Valencia to Antwerp. Enquiries are under way to establish the previous and forthcoming voyage pattern, which will follow in follow up reports.

The nature and scope of salvage services have yet to be determined, and whether security is ultimately required or General Average may be declared is unknown.
