Further to previous notice concerning fire on-board containership MSC DANIELA, the vessel has successfully berthed at Colombo port. General Average has now been declared and we are in contact with Average Adjusters concerning details of security requirements.

MSC’s intention is to discharge all damaged cargo in way of the seat of the fire without delay. W E Cox Claims Group has received instructions from a number of cargo interests fire expert and local surveyors have been appointed to investigate and confirm condition of cargoes.
