We have learned of a new incident involving the vessel HYUNDAI JAKARTA, a 2007 built 74,561gt Fully Cellular Containership, which ran aground near Pulau Sebarok, off the southern coast of Singapore.

The vessel, having previously called at Gwangyang and Busan in Korea; Beilun and Yantianin China; Kaohsiung in Taiwan and Hong Kong is bound for Singapore; Port Klang in Malaysia and Jebel Ali in UAE.

Tug assistance is presently being provided to re-float the vessel with the incoming tide.
