ALYARMOUK / SINAR KAPUAS
We have learned of a new incident involving vessels ALYARMOUK and SINAR KAPUAS, which suffered a collision 11 nautical miles NE of Pedra Branca.
ALYARMOUK is a Libya flag, 2008 built, 61,432gt oil tanker, on a voyage from Middle East to China, having also called at Malaysia.
SINAR KAPUAS is a Singapore flag, 2011 built, 33,348gt Bulk Carrier, on a voyage from China to Hong Kong, having previously called at South Korea.
ALYARMOUK has reported damage to one cargo tank, resulting in a spillage of crude oil. Relevant authorities have been notified and oil spill response resources activated.
We have yet to receive report of any damages SINAR KAPUAS.
Both vessels are currently stable and anchored safely.
