ELANDSGRACHT

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel “ELANDSGRACHT”, a 1995 built 8,448gt general cargo ship. Having previously called at various ports in Turkey the vessel steamed to Scandinavia and ran aground whilst entering the Finnish port of Pietarsaari.

It is reported that the vessel, part loaded with paper, was holed at the Forepeak tank causing water ingress. Considering the location of the damages the extent of the loss may be minimal but accurate detail remains outstanding.

If W.E. Cox Claims Group can be of any assistance in arranging surveys, adjusting potential losses or undertaking recovery, please do not hesitate to contact us.
