AFRODITI

We have learned of an incident involving the vessel AFRODITI, a 1994 built, 22,147gt bulk carrier.

The vessel, laden with consignments of clinker, sugar and rice totalling 26,502 tonnes, was reported to have run aground at 0430 on 7th August, during manoeuvring in the Hodeidah Port Channel, Yemen.
It is our understanding that the owners are considering engaging the vessel ORYX to lighten in order to refloat.
