We have learned of an incident involving the vessel MSC FABIOLA, a Portugal flag, 2010 built, 140,259gt fully cellular containership, on a voyage from China, Singapore and Malaysia to Middle Eastern and European ports.
The vessel experienced engine problems and was reported to have run aground in the Suez. The nature and scope of salvage services have yet to be determined, and whether security is ultimately required or General Average may be declared is unknown.
