We have learned of an incident involving vessels STOLT COMMITMENT and THORCO CLOUD, which suffered a collision in the Straits of Singapore.

THORCO CLOUD is an Antigua & Bermuda flag, 2004 built, 7,813gt general cargo vessel, on a voyage from Japan to Singapore, having previously called at South Africa.

STOLT COMMITMENT is a Cayman Islands flag, 2000 built, 23,206gt chemical tanker, on a voyage from Suez to Kaohsiung, having previously called at Antwerp and Rotterdam.

THORCO CLOUD is reported to have sunk, crew having been rescued from the water by Coast Guard and STOLT COMMITMENT.

STOLT COMMITMENT sustained minor damage only. No injuries or pollution have been reported.
