You may be aware of an incident involving the vessel NAVIOS KYPROS, a Greece flag, 2003 built, 31,169gt Bulk Carrier, on a laden voyage with steel and chemical cargoes from China to Ecuador, Peru and El Salvador.

The vessel experienced engine problems approximately 560nm south of the Aleutian Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Unable to repair the main engine at sea, shipowners contracted Tsavliris Salvage under Lloyd’s Open Form dated 11th June 2015. NAVIOS KYPROS was towed to Busan, where Salvage services terminated on/about 11th July 2015.

General Average has also been declared.
