We have learned of a new incident involving the vessel TIGER CLIFF, a feeder vessel, on a loaded voyage from Kolkata, India to Singapore.
The vessel, laden with cargo destined to 20 destinations, suffered main engine damage on 16th August 2013. She was towed to a place of refuge, in order to avoid the prospect of grounding and a second tug has been engaged to tow her to Singapore.
General Average has been declared and GA security is being requested from cargo interests. W.E. Cox are ideally positioned, together with our Regional Office in Singapore, to assist with the provision of security, in order to ensure prompt delivery and on-carriage of cargo and in the event that you determine that you are involved with any cargo on board, we would be delighted to receive your instruction to provide security for General Average and investigate the circumstances of the incident in order to determine the merits of the GA claim.
