Incident: Grounding
We have learned of an incident involving the vessel ORCHID KEFALONIA, a Marshall Islands flag, 11,570gt, 2008 built, Chemical/Oil Products Tanker, which ran aground en route from Barranquilla to Altamira and Houston.
After local tugs were unable to refloat the vessel, T&T Salvage were contracted under LOF. ORCHID KEFALONIA has now been refloated and she is currently at anchor off Barranquilla. Shipowners have also declared GA and Albatross Adjusters in Cyprus are appointed to collect securities.
