Please be advised Hapag Lloyd have provided an update with regard to the YANTIAN EXPRESS stating the vessel repairs are now nearing completion and accordingly declaration of seaworthiness is expected shortly.

They have stated if confirmed seaworthy, she is likely to depart from Freeport, Bahamas during the first half of May 2019 with remaining cargo onboard. We therefore ask any outstanding documents, including master bills of lading, to be submitted at the earliest to ensure security is lodged.

The vessel ‘Yantian Express’ shall proceed to Halifax, Nova Scotia for delivery and / or transhipment of remaining onboard consignment. The date will be confirmed in due course.

For PA claims, we ask insurers to provide evidence of settlement once the claim has been finalised.

With regards to subrogation, if underwriters do not have their own form, please contact us for a subrogation form which we require to be completed, signed and stamped by the claimant on their headed note paper.
